Hi, I’m Skylinn Ortiz-Ramos (She/her/hers)

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected find clarity, steadiness, and a way back to themselves. My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment, and a culturally responsive approach that honors your lived experience.

I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the long‑term impact of stress. Many of the people I work with have learned to stay strong, push through, or keep emotions contained, especially those who were never given permission to feel what’s happening inside.

I also work with couples who feel caught in cycles of disconnection or conflict, helping them slow down, understand their patterns, and move toward more secure and honest connection. In addition, I support parents who are overwhelmed, struggling with co‑parenting, or noticing old patterns resurfacing in their parenting.

My approach is warm, steady, and grounded. We slow things down, look at what’s beneath the surface, and make space for the emotions and needs that often go unheard. I don’t believe in toxic positivity, healing isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about understanding what hurts, why it hurts, and meeting yourself with compassion as you grow.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in early childhood education, social work, and community mental health. These experiences taught me that people don’t heal alone, they heal in connection, with someone who can hold space for the full truth of what they’re carrying.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, direct, culturally responsive, and committed to helping you understand yourself more deeply, I would be honored to work with you.
